This little bug turned ONE!!!!!

What a fast year this was! This little girl is such a light in our life.  She is a laughing machine and has so much personality in such a small package.  Her stats on her one year check up where:

Weight: 17 lbs 9 oz (4%)

Height: 29 3/4 in (69%)

She continues to be small and tall.  Jamie is a climber...this is new for me.  That girl tries to get on top of everything.  She wants to be big like Benjamin and does everything he does.  My favorite thing about her is how she shakes her head yes and no.  You can ask her just about anything (in the form of a yes or no question) and she'll answer it.  She knows what she wants and she will help you figure it out so she have it.  She's still nursing but will also eat everything you give her.  I love my little eating partner! She has 8 teeth and is bites...hard! She's gotten a few pops on the face and lots of sturn "no"s, but she continues to bite. That's our biggest battle right now.  She hates tv and movies and loves dolls and trains. 

We had a little party with my family a few weeks before her birthday.  I had such great hopes of her tearing her cake apart, but she followed her brother's footsteps and really wanted nothing to do with it. But we got some cute pictures, so I am happy.  

So thankful for this little bug.  So thankful we decided to try to have a baby close to Benjamin.  I have no doubt that they need each other and that our family needs her!   I'm thankful that she has been so healthy.  I'm thankful for how quickly she learns things.  I'm thankful for her happy disposition and I'm thankful for all of her unique quirks.  She is amazing and delightful and girly and strong and determined and lovable and beautiful.  I love her blond hair (that has decided to only grow in the back! She has an awesome mullet). And I love her blue eyes and how they sparkle.  I just love this little girl!
