August

I realized the other day that I hadn't taken a picture in several weeks.  I had even stopped carrying my camera around...the sure sign that there wouldn't be any pictures taken.  The past two weeks I have valiantly attempted to be better about taking pictures and as my camera is downloading over 200 pictures I feel pretty good about my attempt!  

August has been a great month! We had 2 weddings in my family (a nephew got married and a niece got sealed) within 2 weeks of each other.  I loved every second of spending time with my family.

The first 2 weeks of August were normal scorching heat waves that Texas always has.  But the last 2 weeks of August have been extremely beautiful! Cooler temps, breezes and purely delightful to be outside in.  My poor children haven't spent a ton of time outside the past 2 months because it's been so hot and have been reintroduced to their bikes, park time, and evening walks around the neighborhood.  They are in heaven as am I! We even went with our good friends to Erwin Park, to roast hot dogs and banana boats...something that we do a lot of during the fall and winter! 

Benjamin is completely potty trained and Jamie is following close behind. My goal is for her to be potty trained before the beginning of the year! Life is delightful and I am incredibly thankful for the moments I call my life!
