Trains and bikes

Benjamin has two great loves in his life...trains and bikes. And yesterday was a red letter day for both. We went to this little train museum in Plano where we got to see model trains and walk on an old fashioned, restored mail train. The picture of Jamie is to prove that she was there. And then Benjamin got a new big boy bike. He's been riding a tricycle for about 6 months and just seemed ready for something bigger. Not gonna lie, totally teared up as he first sat on the bike at the store and test rode it around the store. Never thought my little 2 year old would be getting his own big boy bike. As soon as we got it home last night, he rode around for a full 45 minutes, and then kicking and screaming was brought inside for a breathing treatment (his RSV has been acting up) and dinner and bed. And then this morning he woke up at 6:42 and after an hour of "ride my bike" every other second, I caved at 7:45 and we went for our first ride of the day. I just wish our little bug loved being outside a fraction as much as her big brother. She loves to play in the dirt, but she doesn't really enjoy being outside. Go figure. Oh well, I love how happy trains and bikes make Benjamin!
