Once upon a time...

...I use to blog. And then I lost all desire to blog...and now I'm going to try to regain it. But September has been very eventful and I have so much to blog about I feel a little overwhelmed. But I'll start with one of my favorite things...my baby girl!

Baby girl turned 5 months old yesterday. On Friday, we finally got around to having her 4 month appointment...blogging isn't the only thing I'm behind on!

Her 2 month stats were:
Weight: 10 lbs 14 oz (49%)
Height: 23 1/4 in (76%)
Head: 15 in (31%)

Her 4 (5) month stats were:
Weight: 14 lbs 1 oz (35%)
Height 25 3/4 in (76%)
Head: 16 1/4 in (36%)

She is a long and lean little thing. She rolls over from her tummy to her back. On her belly she can turn around 360 degrees. She has started scooting forward (mainly when she's mad...she can push herself across the room.) She has started solid foods...she prefers sweet potatoes over just about anything. She actually likes rice and oatmeal cereal. She still won't take a bottle, but drinks very well from a sippy cup. She has learned how to blow spit bubbles and makes herself laugh every time she does it. Some nights she sleeps great, some nights she doesn't. She puts herself to sleep (both for naps and bedtime). I love rocking her randomly throughout the day...but I love putting my babies in the crib and walking away when it's time for them to go to sleep. She has developed a little stranger danger fear. Her favorite person is Benjamin. She loves to sit in her little bouncer/exercise saucer things and play with toys. She's not as captivated with tv or movies anywhere like Benjamin was. She'll look at it for a few minutes, but could care less about it. Benjamin was watching "Nemo" at about her age (and would watch the whole thing!!!) She chews on everything! EVERYTHING!! She is always wet from chewing on toys and drooling. She is a happy little baby. Her smile literally takes up her whole face and I love hearing her laugh. I am becoming increasingly thankful for her and have an overwhelming confirmation of how our family needed her and her spirit right now in our lives...especially Benjamin. He adores her and plays so well with her and sit and "talks" to her and I just feel like they need each other...right now and my gut says in the future too. They are so close in age and have such different personalities...I see them being great friends and great help to each other! I love my kids!!
